School day

The playground door opens at 8.45 am each morning, creating some time for parents to spend a few minutes in school helping their children to change books and to develop positive morning routines if they wish to do so.  It is expected that all children will be settled in class by 8.55 am ready for a prompt start to the school day.

Lessons begin immediately after registration and collective worship.  All children have a 15 minute break at 10.30 am and have their lunch break between 12.00 and 1.00 pm.  Some extra curricular club activities may also take place during the lunch time break.  The school day ends at 3.00 pm.

Children travelling by bus are seen safely onto their appropriate school bus while the remainder of pupils are collected by parents and carers.

Actual teaching time for Key Stage 1 is 22.50 hours per week.

Actual teaching time for Key Stage 2 is 23.00 hours per week.
